I personally have a MaxNC 10, and I have the Sherline endmill adapter, and a Taig collet set (that goes directly in the spindle taper). However if I remember right the Sherline does not have the same taper spindle as the Taig/MaxNC, so Taig collets don''t fit the Sherline spindle.

To resolve this, I prefer to use 3/16" and 1/8" shank solid carbide boring bars as shown on the left in the second attached photo as compared to the supplied one on the right.
